Why there is a timer at checkout

We hold your tickets for 10 minutes so nobody can buy them while you pay.

Updated Saturday 3 October 2026

When you press Book tickets, those tickets are taken off sale and kept for you while you pay. That way nobody else can buy them in the meantime, and nobody can ever be sold the same place as you.

  • You have 10 minutes from choosing your tickets. The time left shows at the top of checkout.
  • Once you start paying, we add some extra time so a slow bank check does not cost you your tickets.
  • If the time runs out, we release the tickets so other people can buy them. Nothing is charged, and you can choose them again if they are still available.

If you leave checkout without paying, we may send you one reminder email for that event. It has a link to stop these reminders.
