At a glance

  • Buyers always pay us, on our checkout, and tickets are issued only once we are paid. Prepaid box office sales are paid to us in advance.
  • You earn a share of our booking fee on each paid ticket you sell, never a share of the face value.
  • Commission is paid within 14 days of the end of each month, and taken off for orders that are refunded or cancelled.
  • Allocations cap what you can sell per event. Invitations are free tickets for real guests, never for sale.
  • Show the full price first, never charge more, and keep your API keys secret.
  • Buyers on our checkout are our customers: you see order references, tickets and totals, not their names or emails, unless they tick the box to hear from you.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between Enjoy Tickets Ltd, trading as Enjoy Tickets (company 16330135, registered office Office 28 Basepoint, Dartford Business Park, Victoria Road, Dartford, Kent, DA1 5FS), and you, the partner: a promoter, venue, media site, box office or ticket seller that sells our events. You accept them when you use your partner account, a partner link, buy button, shop or API key.

Your partner account shows your deal: your commission rate, which events you may sell, any allocations and invitations, and whether prepaid sales are switched on. The deal applies where it differs from these terms. The technical details are on our Developers page.

2. Ways to sell

  • Tracked links and buy buttons on your website, newsletter or social media, each with its own name so you can see which one sells
  • Your own shop, in your colours, at yourname.enjoytickets.co.uk or your own web address
  • The partner API, for your own listings, checkout flow or app

Test keys see the real catalogue but never take stock or move money, and their tickets are refused at the door. Build and test with them, then switch to a live key.

3. The money rule: buyers pay us

Buyers always pay Enjoy Tickets, on our secure checkout, and we issue tickets only once we are paid. This applies to links, buttons, shops and API sales sent to our checkout. You never hold a buyer's money for these sales, and nobody can get a ticket that was not paid for.

Prepaid sales, for box offices

If we switch on prepaid sales for you, you can sell tickets for cash at your own box office. Then:

  • you pay us first, to top up a prepaid balance in the event's currency
  • each ticket you sell spends the balance by its full price, less your commission
  • sales stop when the balance runs out
  • cancellations and refunds credit the balance back, less the commission you kept on them
  • you take the buyer's money, so you also give it back to them when a refund is due, and you charge exactly the price we show, no more
  • if these terms end, we refund what is left of your balance within 30 days, less anything you owe us (see Suspension and ending)

So we are always paid before a ticket is issued, whichever way it is sold.

4. Commission

  • You earn a share of our booking fee on each paid ticket you sell, at the rate in your deal. Commission never comes out of the ticket's face value, which belongs to the organiser. Free tickets and invitations carry no fee, so they earn no commission.
  • A sale counts as yours when the buyer pays on our checkout after using your link or button, or buys in your shop or through your API key. For links and buttons, the last partner link the buyer used in the 30 days before buying counts, on the same browser. Our records decide which partner a sale belongs to.
  • For sales paid to us, we pay your commission by bank transfer within 14 days of the end of each month, as shown on your monthly statement in your partner dashboard. There is no minimum amount. For prepaid sales, you keep it as you sell.
  • If an order is refunded or cancelled, the commission on it is taken off.

5. Events, allocations and invitations

  • You may sell every published event, or only the events we share with you, as your deal says. Organisers can switch partner selling off for an event, and private events are sold only by partners they are shared with.
  • An allocation is the most tickets you may sell for an event. Reservations count against it while they are held.
  • Invitations are free tickets you may issue for an event, up to the number we agree, for genuine guests. They must not be sold.
  • Reservations through the API hold tickets for 10 minutes. Only reserve tickets you mean to sell.

6. The API and your keys

  • Keep your keys secret, give them only to the people and systems that need them, and tell us straight away if one may have leaked. We can revoke and replace it.
  • Each key may make 300 requests a minute. Use idempotency keys as described on the Developers page, and check the signature on every webhook before trusting it.
  • We improve the API all the time, and within version 1 we only add to it: new fields, endpoints and features arrive without notice and never break what you have built. If we ever have to rename or remove something, we give you 30 days' notice by email and keep the old behaviour running alongside the new for those 30 days. If a change cannot wait, for security or because the law requires it, we make it straight away and tell you as soon as we can.
  • We may suspend a key that is misused, overloads our systems, or puts buyers at risk.

7. Selling fairly

  • Show the full price first, including the booking fee, as UK and EU law require. Never add your own fee or charge more than the price we show.
  • Describe events accurately, from our catalogue, and do not promise buyers anything our buyer terms or the organiser do not offer, such as refunds.
  • Per person limits and codes do not apply to API sales, because we cannot identify your buyers. Do not let one buyer take large numbers of tickets for resale, and never sell above face value.
  • Do not use bots or automated tools to take tickets from the public sale, the waiting room or the waitlist.
  • Follow the advertising and consumer laws that apply to you, and do not suggest that you are Enjoy Tickets or the organiser.

8. Shops and your own domain

  • Your shop sells through our checkout, so buyers pay us and our buyer terms apply to them.
  • The shop says that tickets are sold by Enjoy Tickets on behalf of the organiser. Do not remove that.
  • If you use your own web address, you are responsible for it and for pointing it at us correctly.
  • We may switch a shop off if it breaks these terms or misleads buyers.

9. Buyer data and data protection

Who holds a buyer's details depends on how the sale was made.

  • Sales on our checkout (your links, buttons and shop): the buyer typed their details on our site and is our customer. We alone are responsible for their personal information. Your dashboard, the API and your webhooks show these orders with their reference, event, tickets, seats and totals, and never the buyer's name, email address or ticket codes. To help such a buyer, ask them for the order reference from their confirmation email: you can find the order, send their tickets again to the address we hold, or open a case and we take it from there. You receive no personal information from these sales, so no data sharing agreement is needed for them.
  • Buyers who agree to hear from you. If we switch it on for you, buyers on our checkout who came through your links, buttons or shop see an unticked box: "I am happy for [your name] to contact me about their events and offers". When a buyer ticks it, your dashboard and the API show that buyer's name and email address, marked as agreed, and you may contact them about your events and offers. For those details you are a separate controller: use them only for what the buyer agreed to, put an easy way to unsubscribe in every message and honour it at once, keep them secure, and stop using them if the buyer or we tell you they have withdrawn. Ticket codes stay with us, and the buyer stays our customer for their order.
  • Sales you make yourself (API and prepaid): you collect the buyer's name and email address and send them to us so we can issue the tickets, and the API sends you the order and ticket details back. For these sales you and we are each a separate controller of the buyer's personal information, each for our own purposes. You must tell your buyers that their details go to Enjoy Tickets and to the organiser, for example by linking to our Privacy notice, and pass on their marketing choice correctly. Use what the API returns only to run your sales and help your buyers, never for marketing unless the buyer has agreed to hear from you directly.
  • Keep buyer data secure, share it only with companies working for you under a proper contract, and delete it when you no longer need it.
  • Tell us without delay if buyer data is lost or seen by someone it should not be, and help each other with requests from buyers about their data.

10. Using our name and yours

While these terms last, you may use the Enjoy Tickets name and logo, and the event names, descriptions and images in our catalogue, only to promote and sell our events. Do not change our logo, and do not use it in a way that suggests you are us. Artists', venues' and organisers' names and images belong to them and are licensed for promoting their events only.

You allow us to show your name and logo in your shop, in our partner lists and when we tell people where our tickets are sold.

11. Suspension and ending

  • Either of us can end these terms with 30 days' notice by email.
  • We may suspend your account and keys straight away if you break these terms, if we suspect fraud, or if buyers or organisers are at risk.
  • When these terms end, your links, buttons, shop and keys stop working. We pay the commission you have earned on sales that stand, after refunds and cancellations are settled.
  • If you have a prepaid balance, we refund what is left of it within 30 days of the end, in its currency, to the account it was paid from, less anything you owe us: commission taken back on refunded or cancelled sales, chargebacks, and tickets sold outside these terms. Cancellations that are still being settled are counted first.

12. Responsibility and the law

We run Enjoy Tickets with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. Neither of us is responsible to the other for loss of profit or indirect losses. Our total responsibility to you in any 12 months is limited to the commission we paid you in those 12 months, or £500 if that is more. Nothing limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

We may change these terms with 7 days' notice by email. If you do not accept a change, tell us before it takes effect and these terms end at once, without the 30 days' notice, and we settle what is owed as above. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute.
