A draw anyone can check

Nobody can choose or change the winners. Before the draw we publish the fingerprint of the list and the fingerprint of a secret seed. Right after the draw we publish the seed itself.

How to check it yourself
  1. Download the list. The SHA-256 of its list field, written as compact JSON, must equal the list fingerprint.
  2. The SHA-256 of the seed must equal the seed fingerprint, published before the draw. So the seed could not be changed once the list was locked.
  3. Each pick has a counter. Work out HMAC-SHA256 with the seed as the key and, as the message, the list fingerprint, a colon and the counter. Read its first 15 characters as a hexadecimal number, divide it by the number of chances and add 1 to the remainder: that is the winning number.
  4. A number that falls on someone already drawn, or on a removed entry, is skipped. That is why some counters are missing.
